I have what maybe a dumb question ..... But here goes, I have got new off road pipes and want to get more air into the air box (You can never get to much air I have been told it's good for you ) I am going to remove the throat from the air filter cover and was wondering if I have to change the filter for dust?

Nope, you should be fine. I took out my snorkel a couple years ago and havent had problems with excessive dust or dirt.

Your filter might collect a little more dust, but that's because a good deal more air is flowing through it. Just check it a little more often, which is easy enough because you can see it with the snorkel out.
