I've been hanging over at the RAT forums and a guy over there told me this was where it's really at. So, hello, hello. I'm sure I'll be pestering some of you with inane and pointless questions. I'll apologize in advance. I ride an '05 speedmaster, don't know **** about bikes, and can't wait to tear mine apart.

You know why New Jersey has more toxic waste sites than lawyers? They were given a choice. Welcome to the forum

Big Poppy is right, NJ is beautiful. Of course, the only part of NJ I've visited is between Cape May and Atlantic City all along the coast there. I had the pleasure of driving up the coast and visiting some great beach towns.

BLATHER!!!!!???? Not that again! Welcome to the site. Everyone here is just having a little fun with ya. You'll quickly learn if is something gets under your skin- don't tell anyone. Around here it is like picking at a scab... the more it bothers you, the more it gets picked, and eventually it will bleed... Did you know the tooth brush was invented by a guy in Jersey? (If it were invented anywhere else it would have been a teeth brush). Hang in there brother. This is a GREAT site, knowledgeable people, fair moderators except for one that is evil, and... well... a sibling type of love you will find nowhere else.

Exit 145 - and it started a long time ago as an anti yankee thing that grew into a die hard red sox thing.
With that aside, Wow. Thanks for the warm welcome. June 2nd - Ruined, stupid wedding, nothing I can say, do, or not do, will get me out of it. As far as Jersey being beautiful, yah there are parts that are nice. I live inbetween Newark and Jersey City, so it ain't all peaches and cream. I don't mind getting ribbed about being from jersey. Living here calouses your entire body.

145, that's a tough exit. Don't mess with this guy. Anyone who can ride a bike in that neighborhood ain't afraid of much. You must be ok, even for a Bosox fan.
Not for nothing, we that live in the nice parts of NJ love to perpetuate the myth that the whole state looks like the NJ Turnpike around Elizabeth & Newark Airport.

Welcome DuckO, Jersey can NO way be all bad......there are folks there who own Triumphs!!! BTW, I used to hear that Jersey drivers were the worst. Not true, they are all here in the Flood City. (PA) Good part is, in June the local bike ralley chases all the cage drivers away!

I wouldn't know what Jersey is like, except that our son, Matt, is stationed at McGuire AFB, and he lets us know what it's like. Can you guys let us know when/where any Triumph rides are in Jersey, Matt has a Rocket lll and needs to hang with Triumph riders (plus you know where all the good roads are.)

AmyLee, Matt might want to get hooked up with the Freehold RAT Pack. There are lots of good riding roads throughout the area around McGuire, although it's pretty flat down there. More hilly & twisty as you head further north & west. He can check out www.motorcycleroads.us too. Have him PM or email me if he's interested too.

That can't be true, I'm still here. In all honesty since I started riding though I must say I really have committed %100 to trying to be a better driver.

I have the Secaucus Travel Plaza. In the summer, I try to schedule my quarterly visit to coincide with the weekly Rutt's Hutt bike night (Wed's). Some pretty cool iron usually shows up along with the crazies from NYC.
I just got back from AC this evening. Had a nice two-day visit. Picked up this book at a flea market. It's all about the NJ Turnpike. I support fvie fo the travel plazas there, so I grabbed it. Looking for America on the NJ Turnpike

Well hot dog, I'll have to mark my calendar for Rutt's Hut. It's a bit of a ride on a school night, but it would be cool to have a nice turnout of Triumphs.
Thursday is bike night at the Chatterbox at 206 & 15. They get a lot of bike there!
