Rode with a guy who had one very similar to that, slightly different bars tho... Well maybe the same. Sweet bike! There's a green/cream Tbird for sale near me for about 4K... MAN I wish I had some cash!!

Dig that funky air cleaner setup. Too bad that wouldn't work on our bikes. I wonder if the velocity stacks actually serve a purpose.

I saw that!! Don't those bikes have a funky dual chamber airbox thing? (chy?) Must have ten a lot of work to get a nice clean setup like that.

The factory air box is basically 2 pieces - the rear most piece is behind the l/h side cover and is basically just a resonator. It connected to the front box by a tube about 2in in diameter (electrical outlet is there in pics). The front box is a split design with the air filter sandwiched in the middle.
I think the "velocity stacks" are just decorative. He claims use of the stock filter, which means he should be using the front half of the airbox and the rest is decorative covering.
Nice looking but overkill for a bike that is basically stock except for the pipes

Yeah, but it looks cool. And isn't that what's most important?

I saw this bike somewhere else. He put in an airbox out of a trophy.

Here too. My dealer didn't have any in stock so I never saw one until after I got my BA. I rode one two years ago, that's the closest thing I've had to buyers remorse with my bike.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
