Anyone here use/installed a driver's backrest on their America? What kind did you use? Are there any universal backrest that fits the America? Comments/suggestions/help?

Make your own. Attach it to the bottom of the passenger's pillon seat, using 2 existing holes, two aluminum brackets (one is a straight crosspiece, and the larger & longer angled one is to support the backrest pad itself.

Where can one get a pad like that? I think I'll do the same thing, but reversed for the passenger...

Something like that on the pillion that would accept the Corbin Backre$t would be great. Are you listening, Brent? Eddie? Anybody?

Women and cats will do as they please. Men and dogs should just get used to that fact and relax

Speaking of which, why the heck doesn't the Corbin passenger seat accept a backrest...

Just use any sissybar pad. I got one the first time from a motorcycle junkyard for $10, and had two horizontally spaced, recessed nuts for mounting to a sissybar. Later I had a local rod & custom shop redo the leather cover for about $40. There is another aluminum crosspiece behind the backrest pad to secure it to the vertical "L" brace, and it is covered/hidden by a zippered black "pipe tobacco pouch" bought at Walmart for about $4.

I asked them. They said something about the pan not being strong enough or sometihng, cause a lot of their other seats DO accept a passenger backrest. I think you could put one on there... Maybe not a high sissy bar that someone would actually lean against, but my lady just wants a little something back there to know she's still on, ya know?

Try to get a "thinner" sissybar pad if you can, so it does not push you too far forward in the driver's seat.

There are a number of automotive seat back head rests like that too. A junkyard should yield one that would work. Any decent upholsterer could re-attach the pillion cover after surgery. An extra heavy duty stapler is a plus in that regard. Sporting goods concerns that offer football & hockey equipment & uniform service can also do heavy upholstery / stapler work like that. A Home Depot type stapler won't cut it - been there...
