I'm needing a new battery and was wondering what was the best one to buy? Any thoughts?

I believe this one is a good choice

aka NAPA part numbers -- 7401866 & also PSB 12BS

The battery ships with acid seperate, so you're starting out fresh, as opposed to a battery that's been on a shelf for who knows how long.

I have allways used this type of battery for both my sport bike and harley,

Better I can't say, for the sport bike a sealed, gel or AGM battery was required for Track Days

My only problem with the AGM batteries is if they go dead, they sometimes don't come back.

Been there - done that with a Westco. It only lasted 7 months. I neglected it over the Winter, and it would not hold a charge after that. My bad to neglect it, but according to my google research, this is not unusual.

It seems the conventional wisdom about AGMs is to keep them at or above a 50% charge at all times. If one can manage that with the correct type smart charger, they far exceed the performance & technology of the lead acid types.
