Ok, I went and done it. I have loved ridng so much and my health has improved to the point I want to do some long distance riding. Now I am keeping the Bonnie Blue as after I sold my Norton I said if I ever own another British Bike I would never sell it. SO I am keeping my word. But I bought a 2006 Honda ST 1300 on eBay. Flying out to Dallas next Friday to pick it up then taking a five day cross county through Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida. Riding to Deal's gap going to spend a day there and then head back to South Florida. The route only has me on 150 miles of super slab the whole way. Only dreamed of having two bikes in the garage. Maybe the wife will acknowledge my presence some time in the next decade.
Mark

Mark,
You need to hook up with Tsalagi(Lee), He took us on some
really cool roads in the area of the Dragon that aren't so busy.

Let us know how you like it. Having this sprint for the weekend the ST bug is biting me hard. I think it might be time to change the stable around. Keep the speedy and sell the KDX and KLR.

I hope you are planning on taking the Talimena Byway between OK and AR. It's a great road.

Have that on my route. I am going to work east over the Talimena picking it up in OKLA and heading through Ouachita Monitains in Western Arkansas. Then head North/NorthEast entering Tenn at Memphis.

When you come through TN/NC and through Deals Gap. Be sure to ride over the Cherohala Skyway. Honestly, it is a better ride then Deals Gap.

And here is one of a harley blowing the turn and running off the cliff after making a stupid pass. WARNING: The narration contains PROFANITY and reaaallllyyy ignorant commentary from the van people. My favorite is a passenger in the van yelling, "lets get our of here! They are going to beat our..."

Sweet Mark! Nice tourer pre loaded with lots of farkles like the 660-watt alternator, the shaft-drive system, electric windscreen and that 2.2 gallon sub-tank! To name just a few.

Enjoy the open road my friend!

Wow that is some great riding and what superb roads. Haven't found anything like that down here in Dorset UK. That guy virtually has his knee down on a Goldwing.
