I have had my Raptor vented jacket since late summer last year, and was wondering if they would come out with gloves to match. Summers are too hot here in Texas to wear full leather gloves (although I did it, I have become quite attached to the skin on my hands) and I wanted something breathable that looks good too. Lo and behold, my prayers were answered! Raptor gloves to match my jacket are now available, so I went and bought a pair. Glove sizes from Triumph run small, so be sure you try them on before you buy! No internet purchases! I wear a medium in any American glove, and I had to buy a large and they are still just a bit snug. XL was way too big. These suckers vent very well and the armor on the knuckles is confidence inspiring. They are a bit uncomfortable on long rides, but getting better as they break in. Then, Triumph comes out with a backpack too! Woohoo! I needed one of these! For the backpack to vent properly, I had to remove the back armor from my jacket. It was stopping airflow, so once I took it out, air goes through the jacket and out the backpack now and my back stays cool too. If you like the look of these items, give 'em a try. They aren't too expensive and I couldn't be happier with them. Any other concurring or dissenting opinions out there?

Hmm, I've had the matching vented leather gloves and rucksack for over 2 years, got them when i bought the bike in 03. Maybe you're dealer is a bit tardy with the accessories? And they are very nice indeed.

Hey Dinq, you sure about that? I thought the jacket just came out last summer? Hmm, perhaps I've gone crackers. I have the cloth versions, no leather. Mayhap the leather came out first?

You guys know, as far as sizing goes, if Triumph is at least consistant? I have a Triumph jacket, want a vented one, wondering if I should just get the same size...

Wyrm74, Yea, I'm sure. I got the leather vented Raptor Jacket and matching gloves the same time I bought my bike, on 03-03-03. I got the ruck sack at the end of '03 with the voucher. Benny, The sizes have been pretty consistent as far as I have seen. I have a large rainsuit and a large Paddock jacket and they fit me fine. My Raptor is a 46 and I have tried on the regular Raptor (non-vented) and the size is identical. I will say though, that the leather jacket seems to have shrunken a little in the past 2 years.

Maybe if you crushed your own gnads here and there you would fit the jacket better:) Thanks for the info... I'm thinking I need a vented jacket. Love my highway jacket, but it's an oven man...

Wah wah, wah wah wah, wah wah wah wah. I always loved that line on the commercial about "If I wanted to be called a be-ahoch to my face, I would have stayed married!" Been there, done that.
I love the vented Raptor, but sometimes, I wish it weren't. The slicker underneath works, but not like a full leather. Crap, now I know what I will buy next weekend, thanks dood, made me spend more money.
Hey, you want a big bore put in? wink wink.
When I worked for Sony I always billed according to my recent bills. Hmm, need a new picture tube do ya? (My $385 car payment is due), how does $390 sound? (heck, had to get a 6 pack profit at the least)

Well I will still wear my full leather for most riding, but some of the around town or slower rides here on the island in July can get brutal!!!

SWEATING builds character Benny! Riding a non-perfed leather jacket with a Heat Index of 110 or above is what separates the Men from the boys :-) Don't mind my puerile humor :-)

Good point, maybe that's my problem. Thought I read somewhere though that women had some kind of arousal pheromonal reaction to smelling Men's sweat :-) My Leather jacket is non-perfed, and truthfully, I'm glad I bought it that way. It can be hot as nuts during the summer, but makes for a good all-weather and rain jacket too. The goods with the bads, no such thing as a perfect solution eh?

Well I do have a full HEAVY leather jacket I intent on wearing most of the time, but I am thinking a Mesh one as a second jacket, for local rides on days I know it's not gonna rain, or not get cold, etc. Still take the Highway Jacket on overnights, etc.

I'm not sure I'd call mine heavy, it's a no-name from like Pakistan or the Philippines or something, that I picked up for a good price at the Honda Hoot in '04. One of these days when I either get promoted to manager or become heir to a trust fund from a relative that I didn't know existed, I'll buy myself a Vanson Leather Jacket, but I'm not holding my breath for that one!
