Could someone tell me what the thread pattern and size of bolt for the AI removal is please. I have decided to remove it after I have debaffled my pipes last night. I read on another thread that it is the same as a Bluebird car sump plug but I need to know more info for my bolt supplier.

It is more than a bolt. Save yourself a headache and buy the kit from one of our trusted vendors.

I know whats in the kit thanks Cowboy. Im sure I can find a plug and some copper washers in the messy workbench.
plus delivery time is an issue.

You've gotta get either the kit or the sump plugs, as I believe it's an odd thread - a gas thread apparently. My local triumph dealer makes their own AI removal kits, chances are one in Sydney does too. Make some phone calls.

After reading a post in the how to section it says that it is a M12 1.25
This I believe is a metric 12mm bolt with a 1.25 pitch (fine thread). That is what I have bought with the allen key head on it and I will give it a try. Unless I am missing some info.

After I did mine i felt a slight hesitation do to carb vaccume inbalance. I had to sync my carbs and then it was all better. Just a heads up. Good luck

Erwin can you expand on that as far as slight hesitation about carb-imbalance afterword? What were some of the signs?.....Speed.
