I know this is a long shot but here goes. During a marathon wrenching session to try and bring it back from the dead. The guy I bought it off obviously had no idea how to time a bike and the cams were way off. So we pulled it apart and retimed the bike. The problem and the part I need is the cam tensioner. About 2am and after several suds. We reinstalled it without looking at the manual (which is the worst Japanese to pidgin I have ever seen). Long story short the tensioner is broken and I don't want to spend 90 bucks on the 300 dollar machine. So if you have one laying around shoot me a message. 86 KLR 600 Thanks
Well mine is a KLR 600, kind of a pos that they made for 3 years before switching the engine design and now I can see why. I haven't been to those forums yet thanks. I have been on ADV rider, I'm hoping that I find some end around to this problem.
