can I run regular synthetic 20W50 (from autozone) or there abouts in my 04 speedmaster no problem?
Best looking black girl around!
2004 SM-spokes, solo seat, lowered rear, 14 in apes, bobber rear fender, no front fender. Flat black all the way around.

You can also run BMW 15W50 (made by Golden Spectro) if you have a BMW Motorcycle dealer handy. About $8 a quart, so same as Autozone 20W50....

Probably not, since our bikes share the oil between the engine and tranny. You should be running a syn oil that is wet clutch compatible. I don't know of any car oils that are wet clutch compatible. They could be, but they don't specify they are.

definitely find an oil that is wet clutch compatible!!! I made the mistake of not doing that with one of my old dirtbikes when I was a kid and had to change the friction plates to make it pull right again. I was in sticker shock when I went to the triumph dealer and forked out 45.00 for my oil, but hey, better safe than sorry when messin with engine oil.
06 BA, TOR's, 17T front sprocket, 135/42, needles shimmed, AI removed, drilled airbox, K&N air filter, desnorked, SM seat and risers, drag bars, pro-grips....let's ride!!

You can get the same oil Triumph sells from the auto store for about half the price. Or Amsoil that is slightly better.

Thanks fella's-looked up the oil page on this site and was happy to find that the local parts store had everything I needed for about 32.00!
