A study found out that young drivers (21 and younger) who are talking on the cell phone while driving have a reduced reaction time which is no better than a 70 year old.

Since most of these young drivers are on cells talking 24x7 watch out for young drivers.

I am a believer regardless of whether on a phone or not. Watch ALL young drivers. Add cell phone to lack of driving experience and you have a possible menace on the road. Like my 2 young daughters and the Bronco II that has been passed between them. I can change a front fender on that thing now in 1.5 hours. Bumpers in less than that.

not to forget the sound systems that make their rear parcel shelf bounce ... !!

Incidentally, anyone ever put a parcel on a parcel shelf .. or a glove in a glove box, come to that .. ???

The parcel shelf isn't for parcels! Thats where ou put the box of tissues! That way you can run a dozen pedestrians off the pavement whilst diving back for a snot paper when your nose is runny.

Before they put mandatory headrests on the front seats of cars, you could just slam on the brakes and your tissues would fly up onto the dashboard.... take what you needed and then throw the box back onto the parcel shelf.

Things were much simpler and safer then....

That rear parcel shelf is where I used to lay down on long trips. Well, that's when I wasn't standing in the front seat between Mom & Dad. Ride Safe .... I Did!
