who here on this site has mounted a 200 series tire on a stock rear wheel? If so what size profile are you using......ANGELIS

it seems i remember member Soul_Survivor having a 200 rear tire. don't know if the rim was stock though... might have to go with the large tire extender from british customs to fit it.

Try Fryguy and Tex, too.

I don't think you can mount a 200 on the stock rim. I've been watching closely as other people do it (so I can do it someday) and they all go with bigger rims. But I am, admittedly, making some assumptions here.

Thanks guys. I wasn't asking for me but for someone else who was thinking of buying a speedmaster and changing the rear tire. I just went to a 180-70 on the rear and 120-90 on the front......ANGELIS

As far as I know, a 180 is as big as you can go on these narrow rims. I got a wider 16" rim and a Thunderbird (16") rear wheel that I plan on combining to mount a 200 on there. Projects projects...

170 is max on Thunderbird 17inch rim but I just have new Avon storm tyre and they are 175 wide and looks really fat

Yes, I know, that's why I picked up a wider rim to lace onto the Tbird hub.
