I swear I remember reading a post a while ago about a second fuel filter on our bikes other than the one in the petcock, maybe between the carbs. Or am I just #%@&-ed up.

Regards

The hidden fuel filter is inside the bottom end of your fuel line. Just follow the fuel line from the tank to where it connects to the carbs. Pull the line off the carbs, and it is inside the end of the rubber fuel line. Really small, as it is cone shaped and fits completely inside the line.

And...it only goes back in ONE WAY!! Pay Attention to the positioning.

Thanks guys, got it, it wasnt very clogged. I'm surprised with 7k on the bike I thought it would have been worse.

Regards, and thanks again.

Pat, can I just throw that filter away and put an "In-line" filter in its place? Or does the original have to be there?

No the prigonal doesn't have to be there as long as you have an inline filter. Chances are a decent inline will catch more dirt anyway than that little hidden one.
