My custom America is finished... at least for this year. What do you guys think? I'm thinking about getting the low profile pillion pad that Case makes. My girlfriend isn't very happy with me because all I want to do is ride, and there's nowhere for her to sit. I tried a Phantom Pad, and I discovered that the suction cups won't stick to flat paint. Now if I could just get some forward controls...

More pics in my gallery.

Thanks Case. I'd be lying if I said that the bruiser wasn't an inspiration to me.

I'm interested in getting the low profile pillion pad with a gel insert. What would that cost?

Awesome bike, can you comment on the comfort of the low profile seat?? Also I have the D&D slip ons as well. They are loud, but only if you get on it.

That is HOT! I love it!

...but "finished... at least for this year". A wise phrase I always remember (from a Tarantino flick called Four Rooms) goes as such:

"'The less a man makes declarative statements the less apt he is to look foolish in retrospect."

canyonwlf7, I love the seating position of the low profile seat, especially with the back lowered like it is. It's very comfortable. But I don't think it's really designed to be a touring seat and I haven't really spent much more than an hour at a time on it, so I'm not sure how it feels on long trips.

Ok, do you think its more comfortable than the stocker??
If so I'm in, I love the look, should I at least get the large risers from Brent to go with that seat? Do you think that riding position would work with the low profile seating?

Try a set of forward controls from Pro-One. It will elimiinate the Triumph rear master cylinder and you will have to modify the mounting brackets. Also don't forget to purchase a brake light switch......Good Luck fredlevy@hotmail.com

I like the posistion better than the stock seat. It is firmer ride than the stock. I would recommend it for everyday riding, but I haven't really done any long rides to say how it is after an hour or two.

They're actually D & D's. They are great pipes (sound way better than my friend's epco's). I'm suprised more people don't have them.

They are called Pirate grips. I ordered them from the V-Twin catalog. They are made to fit Harleys so they did require some mods on the throttle side to use them. I had to file down the opening a bit in the switch housing, and I had my buddy who works at a machine shop machine down the grip in that spot where the housing clamps over the grip. Hope this helps.

Thanks. Honestly, I've had a few wiring issues with the blinkers that I have yet to fix. They worked at first but they kept blowing fuses so I think there's an issue with the ground. I'm not running any in the front either, so basically I have no turn signals. I just use hand signals. When they did work they seemed fine though.

Here's some photos of custom forward controls I did on my 04 America...

Also here is a custom rear peg holder I did, a lot of the solo finishers are nice but I needed something to hold my old lady

Good friends with the owners of WickedImage.com they make custom aftermarket HD parts, the forward control/shift linkage was one of their HD parts that was customized to fit my BA, the rear peg holders were a custom one-off part. I can see if Brent would want to carry a similar style (seeing that I wouldn't want my one-off being sold) made by Wicked Image. I also have some custom mirrors that match the whole style (And a rear fender finisher)... I'd have to see how much the rear peg holder would cost.

Linkage is about $170.00
Fwd Control Kit is roughly $1000.00
Mirror w/ Arm is about $135.00 ea

I'll have to look for the business card but I may have met them at Sturgis in '02. I was looking at their shifter linkage for my TBA.
