Between 55-60mph my bike feels like it has a "rough spot" in it. It will smooth out above and below that speed, but within that range it feels like the tranny is slipping or something has a course vibration. I have TORs on my bike and it has the stock jetting. Could this possibly be a jetting problem? I live in west TN. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wheel out of balance maybe? If it was a carb problem, it would be all about throttle position, not speed. Or RPM for that matter... PRobably

No the whole Rough spot thing. What I was asking is is it a rough spot like an engine vibration or a loss in power or a gear problem or carbs out of sync....etc. See what I'm getting at? Too general in my view to get an answer unless someone was actually test riding it to feel it for themselves.

Yeah is it motor do you think? Or like I said, could be a wheel out of balance or something.

I had a vibration between 50-60 turns out the front wheel was out of round. Replaced under warranty. But I agree with the others. There has to be more. Look at the rpm you at when you have this problem. Does the same problem happen in another gear at the same rpm.

Mine was a dented front rim too, right around that speed.

I have noticed a high frequency vibration around 60mph when I ride two up. I know it has to be a tire balance/roundness problem. I can feel it only in the rear tire, and only when I ride 2 up, it's fine when I'm alone. I would bet this would be a good place to start looking before you get worried about engine or tranny trouble.

The problem with my bike was the front metlzer was out of round not the rim, sorry for the confusion. The dealer said they have seen a few tires with this problem and it takes a few thousand miles to get this way.
