Welcome and enjoy your new America, I have mine 3 weeks now, very pleased. Get the air injection plugged and a set of pipes, I find the Short Triumph Off Roads loud enough for the UK.

Many of us here enjoy the different points of view from the European and Aussie crowd. Welcome.
There is a simple kit to remove the Air Injection helps stop the pipes from turning blue. The pump its self is vacume operated and under the gas tank. there is a hose to the airbox that sucks air and injects it into the engine. that needs to be removed and blocked. There is a vacume line that operates it that also needs to be removed and capped. Then there is a hose to each cylander they need to be threaded out and plugged. newspeedmaster.com sells the kit.
With less restrictive pipes (along with other mods) It's a good idea to rejet. These bikes come lean from the factory.

Regarding the air injection removal kit, I purchased mine from jenksbolts.com in the UK, It was delivered next day. I went for the black cylinder head plugs as they suit the black engine. Fitting was no problem, I did have to fabricate a deep socket (welded a bit of pipe on to an old 13mm socket to remove the injection pipes in the cylinder head) as there is not much room to get a spanner in and I did not want to scratch the paint. My dealer also opened up the pilot air screws for me when he fitted the pipes, you need a special "D" tool. This mod stops the pipes discolouring and also stops the poping on the overrun when you have off road pipes, I believe it may also let the engine run a little cooler round the head. As you are in the UK if you wish to borrow the socket let me know.

My dealer would have been happy to fit the AI removal kit however he was out of stock, part of the purchase deal was to have the pipes fitted. I just ordered my own kit and fitted it as bike would not be back untill 500 mile service. If there are any warrenty problems it will be going back to the dealers with the kit re fitted, not a big job.

Those are the pipes that mine came with - I love them! In the past I have gotten pipes that were so loud I had to wear earplugs to protect myself from my own damn pipes. These sound great, but they are not loud enough to get the neighbors giving you the evil eye. I also love the style of the shorties.
