Least thats what some old coot in the grocery store lot told me.

He basically wanted to brag that he had an early 60's 650 from the real triumph. then he said "thats not a real triumph, its made in japan" LOLOLOLOLOLOOL Can you beleve it!
I then politely told him that NO, in fact it is still brittish owned , built ..ect, ect... then I told him Politly once again, that he should come out and ride it.(and to myself instead of hideing it and gloating to others about it). he said bye and I jsut rode off shaking my head and laughing to myself. Japan indeed. LOLOLOLOL

He was probably thinking of the Kawi W650 that was out a few years ago.

I saw one of those Kawasaki rip-offs.
From the other side of the car park, it was in a group of bikes and I thought it was a Thunderbird ...
Take me out and shoot me

Having owned my first BSA in 1967,a little D10 two stroke,I then graduated to the big four strokes,A10,A10R,B33,B31,M20,M21 as you can see all old iron heads but not one looked like a Kawasaki W650.
No disrespect, when Kawasaki came out with the Z1 I was first in the q,but don't say the W650 looks British or BSA or heaven forbid a Triumph, its a pure thought of a little Japanska man thinking he was doing British

Some of those things even had an almost Triumph looking tank logo. They didn't do as good a job as they did copying HD's though. Probably couldn't find any real Triumphs sitting still long enough to get a good look. It's easy to copy HD because of all the posers sitting around on them.
