I thought I left this earlier, but I must not have saved it. I just picked up my America today, and had the joy of riding it 120 miles home. It is the first bike I have owned (numerous Harleys, a Valk & a VTX) where I was happy with the stock seat. It is also the best handling bike I have owned. It had 675 miles when I picked it up and had dealer installed AE kit with Off-road shorty pipes. It couldn't run slicker, and I was happy with the acceleration up to over 100 mph. Not the same as the Valk and VTX, but who cares. I love her!!

I was happy with the stock seat.

Don't you just love the way your new bike feels? They are the closest you will ever get to a true 'one size fits all'.

you may well have thought you have bought a nice bike, spare a thought for those of us in the uk, i purchased a new 06 speedy and i thought, nice bike i'll just ride it and enjoy, HOW WRONG WAS I, i found this website and like metal to a magnet i was drawn, i have since spent a small fortune on bits to make it faster, bits to make it slow down again quicker and just bits in general. question is why are all these bits only available from the US, we make the damn thing and yet we have no aftermarket parts worth considering, you have a really good bike, enjoy, but show some restraint

I have been through this with every bike I have ever purchased. One Harley Davidson that I owned (a '97 Springer Softail) which I paid about $13,500 for, I put another $13,000 in it with the reams of goodies available. Being single now, I don't need a note from anyone to buy toys!! Of course you are probably thinking, "No wonder the bloke is single!"

My name is Charlie, and I'm a chromaholic.
I'm also single, so I can get away with it.

Just because you aren't single doesn't mean you can't customise your scoot. Wendy is worse than I am when it comes to that. After the Northampton event she made a list of customs she wants to do.

Chromaholic - interesting - I've quit buying but would definitely still call myself a user.
