DUDE! i had that same exact bike. is that an 04? that is definately one BADASS bike, for sure. with the carbon fiber slip on from Triumph it can definately roar. be sure to look into some low pro indicators that will replace the bulky ones.
ride safe....

A little bit quicker off the mark Greg than the America, good choice though, just take it easy as you pass those little yellow boxes at the side of the road..

I am jealous. I am interested in the ride difference between the Daytona and America...engine noise, high or slow speed riding. Obviously 2 different styles but I would like to get a similiar one (ok, a Tiger).

the tiger has more of a touring style than the daytona. if you ever sat on a daytona you'd notice that you basically lay down on the tank to reach the handle bars. as with most sport-bikes they are made to go fast and in short distances. ride it anymore than an hour at a time and you'll notice a nice pinch in-between your shoulder blades. on the tiger, you'd sit straiter, sort of how we do on the america. they are made to not only be sporty but go for long distance.
the daytona is fuel-injected so engine noise is low. the main sound is coming from the chain and any aftermarket slip-on on the exhaust. since the daytona only weighs 360ish pounds, slow speeds are just as easy to maneveur as fast ones... can't speak for the tiger (never had one).
i had the same 600 as greg until i wrecked it on a deer. you'll love the daytona for short distances, you'll love the tiger for long distances, and you'll love a speedmaster for all the above.

on Daytona you are higher different riding position faster different noises (mine have off road can) but funny was monday when i was back from work on Daytona sat on America and rode to the city center was thinkng that something is wrong with bike flat tyre or something because I felt so low on saddle
