Hi all
Almost everywhere I look for bits and pieces for the Speedmaster it mentions that it is for models from 2001 up to about 2005 -2006. My question is. Is the 2007 model Speedmaster useing the same sizes of bits and pieces all over it and just the engine is bigger and a couple of cosmetic changes ?. The Haynes manual is for 2001 to 2005 models so I am reluctant to purchase it. Im not sure if after market items will bolt on etc. I realise it is only just on the market so details on web sites and manuals may not have been updated yet.
Any help ?

99% of anything you want will fit all the Speedmasters or Americas. 07 had some cosmetic changes and the 865 engine has a different cam. You could still put a cam from the 790 in the 865 it's a pollution thing. the 07 also has a catalyst in the pipes. The rear peg hangers look different but are interchangeable with the older ones same for the front peg mounts. Alloy wheels on the 07s are different the upper fork shrouds are tapered on the 07 bottom line is the stuff you want will fit.

The only thing that might have a functional impact is the tapered upper fork shrouds, and that is ONLY for windshield mounting, but I read somewhere that someone is working on a solution to that (fast eddy?). Otherwise everything is interchangable. If you plan on doing any work, get a manual!!

Correct. As soon as I can scrounge up a good micrometer (tomorrow) we're going to get some precise measurements and see what we can do!
