You're all guilty of contributing to the sale of another Triumph. After tiring of a series of Hondas, I wanted a new bike but there just wasn't anything interesting that wasn't the weight of an old VW. I've been to enough bike events to know I wouldn't fit in with the 'American Motorcycle' crowd. After sizing up a Speedmaster at the Atlanta IMS a couple of months ago, a websearch found this forum, and I've been lurking ever since. All the info here helped seal the deal--a Black/Sunset Red SM that found its way into my garage this afternoon. Looking forward to learning more from all of you, so just keep on keepin' on. Gary

Well, it certainly seems fast enough for me. I've not figured out this picture posting business yet. I think I can get the image to show up, but can't figure out how to get the sizing correct. Here's the image, but I'll have to refer you to the Photopost section until sometime when I'm awake enough to figure out how to make it larger when posting in the message: And you're right about the mods being contagious. I bought the floorboards before leaving the dealer. They go on tomorrow.

Thanks, Soren. How'd you do that?

Yesterday I went for a test drive.
THhe Speedmaster looks nice, the America has a better more relaxing driving expecially with high sissy, floorboard and it's soft pillion. The girlfriend wants the America, I want the Speedy.

Mechano, don't let the woman push you around. Tell her who's boss, then ask her what color of America she would like

Tell her if she wants an America, she can get her own. Personally I couldn't do without the dual front discs.

Gary, congrats on the new scoot..... nice looking bike!! Like Mike said you should come to the Ga rally and see all the other bikes. It will help you decide how you want to set up your ride and you can hear all different kind of pipes, see all the custom bits and upgrades. Oh and there are some awesomes rides as well ..... Mechano, buy the Speedmaster. You can always add the America's seat and pillion... and the floorboards are an option anyhow....

Welcome to the site Gary This place is a dangerous place. It has the tendency to "brain wash" you, make you spend more $$'s than you want and make you very popular at every stop Enjoy the new ride and try not to smile too much!

I grabbed the image from the actual page of the picture instead of the thumbnail image.
Beaverton is just southwest of Portland. I have been through Lebanon a few times. Nice small town.

Robert not sure what to say about your situation. Smart bystanders keep the mouth shut "just in case the other half read this" One thing is for sure, you can be very very happy with the bike, or be very happy with the other bike....
