I'm clueless what these things are called but I'm in need of a replacement "lens" that covers the oil idiot light; one of the four on the tank (oil, neutral, turn signal, high beam).
The bulb works fine but is exposed with no cover. Any idea where I can find one of these things?

Thanks in advance.

It's called a "Oil Warning Lens". My fische CD is at work, so I don't have the part number. I have had to replace all of mine at one time or another and they were like $3 or something like that from the dealer.

Hey Nick, welcome to the site.

You can try here but I hear that their delivery times are kind of slow.........

Good luck!

Thanks for the replies. Soren, when you get the chance, I'll take the part number when you can get to it.
Thanks Tony, I've heard the same.

Several people on here have remaved the dash all together maybe one of them has one floating around. For the $3 Soren said might be just as easy to go buy one though.

Hmm, I like the guitar amp light idea. Makes me think about amplifying the pipes too!

Thanks for the fiche part number. Now I'm off to hunt. Well, it's sunny and warm so I'm off to ride, but I'll hunt later!

Either I s*ck in my search technique or I'm just lame. I only found the lens on BikeBandit (only place within the US) so I ordered it. Not the $3 part, but $7.51 plus shipping. Ordered a few other trinkets, so it's not too horrible. Oh well.

If anyone has a better source for future OEM orders, I'd appreciate knowing.

Thanks for the part number and advice though!

Local dealer here wanted $7.50 for the idot light lens.I should have made him warranty it,but noooo. I went to an arts & crafts supply store called "Michaels" here.Bought a bag of round colored jewels like you would see on some fancy kids cowboy belt. Got several pieces and colors for I think $3.00. I scratched the silver colored backing off with a razor blade and glued the red one into place for the oil light. Also had to do the high beam.I know I'am cheap, but I got a lot of those little jewels so when ever I loose one I got one waiting. Just an idea.

I had a cost issue a few days ago. I was jetting a bike and Triumph wanted $8 for a main jet and I bought them at my friends shop for $3. Same jets made by same people.

The guitar amp jewel will set you back more than $3! I think I paid closer to $20 for the last one I bought for my Twin...
