Well, I suddenly realised that I still had the original tyres on my BA. As it is now 6 years old they are starting to crack.
What have you lot been replacing them with? with my Honda I was replacing them every 12 months, but they were very soft. I tend not to scimp on tyres, after all there is only a few centimetres holding you on the road!
Cheers

Search the old threads. There are tons of posts on this. most popular seem to be Metzlers, Avon, and Dunlop- in no particular order. If memory serves, Avons have the best traction, Metz is in the middle and dunlop last the longest- or something like that!

There's a section below in the "tech vault". Avons, Dunlops, Metzelers. Sizes, vendors etc.

Six years

I have 11,000 on my stock Metzlers if thats of any help. They will be good for probably the rest of this season then they will need to be changed. Probably around 17,000 miles if I ride about a normal amount. Dunlops were always good tires too I have no experience with Avons.
