Well guys, I guess bad timing has struck again. My daughter got sick, and because I'm a single parent, I can't leave her with her grandmother as planned(mom not feeling well either) for my trip to the GA Rally. So I guess I'll be spending my vacation taking care of her. As for the rest of you guys(and girls) who are still going, I pray you have a safe trip and get back home in one piece.......#$@%&#@!$, I wanted to see Pats bike in action. Somebody please take pictures or a video and post.........Angelis

I hope your Mother and Daughter get to feeling better. I'm not going this year either. I guess we can chat here since no one else will be posting.

Thanks guys. I'll be shipping my kid off to her mother for the summer, so that will give me two(2) free months to take a nice long road trip......Angelis

Angelis - Man, that's a bummer. You'll have to meet up with us next time we ride out to Queen Wilhelmina State Park in Arkansas. We had a great time and got to experience some twisties, which are very rare here in DFW! You aren't too far from there are you?

Queen Wilhelmina State park is on the Arkansas End of the Talimena Byway. It's a great place to stay. Tmax, Glyn, Wyrm and I were up there a month or so ago. I can't wait to again!

Hey... I want in on that.... I think we are around 4 hours from there. Maybe we could go on into Hot Springs and spend the night there??

Hummm,
Since I can't make the Rally due to knee op I may very well be able to meet with you boys too. Pensacola isn't that far and we could even hook-up on the ride to Arkansas.

Hot Springs wouldn't be bad. THe Queen Wilhelmena lodge is right on the Talimena Byway (beautiful winding roads following the ridge line) on top of the mountain (beautiful views). It's only about $75 a night and is biker friendly. Terry (Tmax) knows of a place at MT Magazine (highest point in Arkansas) that he likes, but it's a little bit more expensive. The DFW boys (oddly none of us live in Dallas or Ft Worth) have discussed trips in June and in September. Either one would be a great opportunity to get everyone together. What do you think?

Great idea Skillet. Let's set this up. Maybe I can get a few of our riders from the OKC area to join in.

There goes Wyrm belly achin again! It's too hot waaaa waaaa

I would prefer Sep, because it might give more guys a chance to make plans. Getting the vacation time might be a it rough in June. Not to mention my baby girl is due in July, and me being gone that close to the due date might make momma a bit nervous. I could do either.

Yeah, I like it. "The Midwestern Rally". It do have a ring to it I thought you boys down in Texas are used to that heat.

The "Texas Boys" love the heat. The problem is that Wyrm is a transplant from Idaho (land of the potato) the hot weather makes his hair all frizzy, and he starts to get all fussy. It's sad really....
