Hey Everyone, Been working on my bike a lot lately. I’m a big fan of the custom bobber scene and magazines like The Horse, love it when a bike walks the line of raw and clean. I don’t have a lot of metal fabrication experience or some of the skills one needs to really fabricate structural changes to a bike, but I do have years of professional art experience and thought it might be fun to antique my bike out! I enclosed a montage link of some of the work I have done to my bike so far.

Sweet! Loaded with detail. You ever have time to ride it? Just kidding.
Your ba'try cover gives your ride the look of a woody. Did you tool the saddle leather? Where in Florida are you?

I think using found objects is great (I just never have an eye for finding anything). Just tell people they're limited edition Harley peg eliminators.

Very nice! I like the battey cover! Cool leather work.
I have some unique ideas for my ride. I just hope they look as good when I'm done.

Sweeeet!! So original, its stunning. The leather work is amazing! I'd like to see more of the chrome painted like the console, especially the gas cap. You have done the most visually stunning mods I have ever seen on our bikes.... WOW! I bet it looks even better in person.
Be Proud! Ride Safe!

You all really know how to motivate. I am planning to add some cool cast and carved pieces, painting the tank/fenders to match the console, chopping the rear and adding a new taillight if I can learn what to do with the wiring.

Really like the console! Been wondering how that would look, but never seen it done before. May be following your lead.
Nice touch with the rear peg hangers. I ended up removing mine, moved the pegs to the front position and used a couple of drawer pulls (brass cherub) to fill the top holes. They double as helmet hangers when I stop.
Got a pair of antique glass doorknobs that I plan on swapping out this weekend. Wonder if they'll work like sliders in case of a get off?

Very nice bike....a couple of questions: Did you cut the front fender or is aftermarket? What exhaust are you running?

I was thinking a nice brass accent on the side pannel would look great. Have you ever done Repousse'? (probably killed the spelling) The Triumph T logo in brass with antiquing would be the cat's a@@. just my two creative cents. Tali

Brass badges would match the pinstripe on the tank nicely.

I've been looking for something to attach to the pillion bolt when I'm running solo. Pic #2 has serious potential. I like your work.

Wow, nice stuff! Cold cast? Is that when you melt your medium and place in mold? Have you ever done lost wax? Just curious. Love guys who make stuff themselves!

Thank you for the compliments
Talishar, Cold cast is a type of resin casting. Take 1 part resin and 1 part powdered metal, mix then pour into your silicon mold and prey. If successful you pop out a copy of your sculpture in a metal/ resin bond. Powdered metals come in all flavors including brass and copper. These can then be buffed and treaded the same as a hot mold (except cold cast does not have the heat resistant properties as say a traditional cast) at a fraction of the cost.

Thats cool. I just learned how to do cold cast to a certain extent. Now if I could just sculpt cool stuff I might have a chance!! LOL (not a sculpter)

No goofslapper said.. If successful you pop out a copy of your sculpture in a metal/ resin bond.
In order to get a copy of a your sculpture you have to sculpt it first.
