Got up at 6:30 yesterday and instead of going to the Deleware Valley Norton Gathering, I got on the bike and decided that I'm getting in 400 miles (only made it 390) and riding solo. Anyways, stopped at the diner in Milford, PA for breakfast, where I ended up talking with an Aussie who runs a Triumph dealership in somewhere in Australia.
He started telling me about a BA owner with over 110,000 miles on his BA and has never done ANYTHING besides change the oil, filter, air filter, and tires.
Welp...looks like Charlie (bad406) has at least another 30,000 to go before he needs his valve clearance checked!
Also mentioned that Triumph is their best selling line by far...they never have any BA's or speedies in stock...there's a waiting list just to get one.

Mark, that's amazing. Did you head to Hawk's Nest? It was a beautiful day for a ride. The Norton gathering was a good time.

Yeah...I went up thru the Hawks Nest, then followed 97 up another 75 miles or so. Hawks Nest is way overrated and overtrafficed, but 97 up past is phenomenal.

There sure is a waiting list if you want a black speedmaster. In Sydney Australia anyway. I was told I would have to wait until July for next shipment to arrive. I shopped around all the dealers till I found one. May have been the last of that bunch supplied.

guess that means i better ride the old speedy to georgia instead of my new one. had the sprint a little over a month and have 3600 on it already. although one of my buddies is buying turn signals and mirrors to make the speedy street legal again so he can ride it. so it still has the clock running on it regularly.

And we'd rather be riding with you instead of playing "catch the sprint" the whole time
