My local dealer in Nashville has a 2007 Speedmaster for $8299, which is MSRP. What kind of a discount off of MSRP can one expect, if any? Thanks!

Zip, zilch, nada seems to be par for the course... Maybe a free-"T" if you're lucky.

I believe that I could handle $800 off but not zip, zilch, nada. Anyone else?

Depends on the dealer. My dealer will negotiate. If not on price on swapping some stuff around like seat or sissybar , maybe throw in a couple accys. stuff like that.Maybe give you some custom parts at cost. Never hurts to try. Another good ploy if you can wait is to ask about other bikes first then work your way over to it and say "well, what about this thing then?" if still no deal leave and come back in a couple days and try again.(been around the block a few times)

I got the America seats at cost for my SM. Free sissybar couple free shirts and sweatshirts , 6% interest on the financing (paid off the following winter) and paid $6,500. Was a used bike but only 700 miles the guy was short and didn't like reaching for the controls. Traded it in on a T 100. Almost forgot got free off road pipes too.

P.S. Don't expect my deal the owner is my friend I used to deal with his parents when they owned the place.

I got a demo (85 miles)that was the color I wanted for way under MSRP. My philosophy is when dealers don't want to talk, I don't want to spend $. The dealer I went through was about 250 more than I had talked down another dealer. But triumph yanked the 2nd dealers franchise not long after. So sometimes a little extra $ can go a long way.
But I hate this new no haggle thing that is sweeping car and bike sales. It takes the game right out of it.

Work something out that amounts to about $1,000 bucks your end. Parts, discounts, accessory installs, whatever. make an offer.

I got a Sissy Bar and Speedy Wheels installed with Metzlers getting to keep the spokes and tires with mine. Meant about a grand to me and probably about 700 to the dealer.

Unfortunately, your timing stinks. Trying to negotiate now is really hard because the dealer is likely to have someone walk in during the next few months and pay his asking price. In the fall, when the dealer may have to hold to bike through the winter, you have a better negotiating position. I would at least ask for some trinkets to be added on, or some gear - helmet, jacket, gloves, whatever.

I bought the last 05 in 06 so my dealer was willing to deal. But before I bought I did a little internet shopping and found the best deal in CA and then added the cost of shipping. I went to the local dealer with the amount and asked him to meet it. I told him I really wanted to do business in my commuity ~~ but I also wanted to make the best deal possible. In the end he came as close as he could (within $100 - $150) so I bought locally. Plus Triump had $500 worth of free gear with the America so I got my jacket, boots, gloves and T-shirts for the rest of the family.

There are great deals out there, just shop. There are good dealers who know how to sell and cut deals, and there are pricks who think they can stick it to you.

MCC in Villa Park, IL has a 2006 Speedmaster, brand new, for $7500. Thats a deal.

When I bought my America a year ago I called around and the three dealers that I checked gave me out the door prices of $8424., $8500., and $9000., the last one being North Coast cycle which is no longer in business. Came home and was looking on E-bay and saw a dealer offering a Scrambler for $800 under list. Now the America retailed for $7899. Called him the Monday morning and told him that I'd seen the Scrambler on E-bay and ask him what he'd sell the America for and was told $7199 plus $50. for title and county tax. Said he had a black one on the floor. Told him I'd see him Saturday. $7727.00 out the door and $500. plus acc"s as part of Triumph's promotion. Happy camper!

Before you comitt to anything with the Nashville dealership, contact the Triumph dealer in Chattanooga.

Their phone number is 423-867-5004

Here is there link http://ppofc.com/Default.asp

I brought mine from there. I found them very helpful, they did not have the color i wanted so they located one and brought it in for me. And it only cost a few extra dollars then the models that had on the showroom floor.
