I finally did it after much talk about it. I now have a new bike in the garage (as well as the Speedy of course). I put about 120 miles on it so far but the break in period 'highly suggests' that you don't go over 5k rpms for the first 300 miles, 6k until you hit 600, 7k until 800, and 8k until you hit 1000 miles. I think I might break in before the bike does since this is my first sport bike. I love it so far but my body is definitely adjusting to the different riding position. One of the techs at my dealer has one and he let me ride it since they didn't have a demo. I felt fine riding it but it had already been broken in and when you can ride it like it wants to be then the riding position isn't really an issue. I just hope I can keep from getting any tickets on it. With the tech's bike I had trouble keeping it below 80 and I did hit 104 on the back roads near my dealer. It's completely different than the Speedy and from a tech standpoint it's kind of neat when you turn it on and power it off. The whole dash lights up as the onboard computer turns on and about 20 seconds after you turn it off you can hear the computer shutting down.

I'm leaving for San Diego tomorrow (for work) and I won't get back until it's time to leave for GA so I won't have enough time to break it in. Although the mountains would be a great place to break it in (or break it ). The speedy is much better for long treks (and it's waaayyyy broken in already). I never thought I'd say this but I may eventually have to get a trailer but that is ONLY so I can bring both bikes. Who knows, maybe I'll ride it next year...

Besides money, that is the reason I have only one bike... I don't have to decide which one to ride.

Greg, Very nice bike. The 675 may just be the best bike Triumph has ever built. JMHO

Well i would not offer this anyone. BUT, seeing as you are a Triumph owner and all. Ship that new bike of your to Cleveland Tennessee and i will break her in for you AND, i wont charge you a penny Now that's what i call good service.

it was a sad day indeed when i gave up the Daytona 600 for my new speedmaster. as much as i love the speedy, there's nothing like burning down the backroads faster than the cops can catch you. love the torque at a twist of the wrist!!!!!!

Greg,

Talkin' to my dealer today and found out one of the oweners has a 675. Said 500 miles and it was straight off to the track for him. You be the judge, just repeating what I heard. Grats on the new bike brother!
