I saw a post on another forum. Here's a quote from one of their members.

I ordered $125 worth of parts from teese guys over a month ago. I called them about three weeks after I placed the order and they said "oh yeah your parts are sitting here in a box, maybe we should go ahead and ship them." Wait it gets better... the guy said he was going to ship the box and call me back with a tracking number I waited two days, nothing. I called them back and spoke to the same guy and he said "oh sorry I forgot, I'll ship it and call you back and I won't forget this time." I waited a couple of days again and nothing. So now this is over a month after I originally ordered parts from these guys and decided to call and just cancel my order. So I call and say I want my $125 refunded to my credit card, to which the guy said ok. I watch my credit card on line for the next couple of days, nothing. I call these ****** back and say what the ****** where is my refund to which they reply "oh it could take a week or so for it to go through." That's funny when I placed the order it went through in minutes. I've called these guys about 5 times after that and get the run around. I guess I'm screwed out of my $125."

Here's some stuff he's found out about their rep.......

Get Airguy to go see them personally. They'll ship it out yesterday when he shows up. We have several members in the Chicago area that don't need a reason to ride. Checking on a brother's parts is good reason.

Doesn't sound real promising does it. That really sucks when you buy something in good faith and you get hosed like this. I am doing a restore and thanks for the heads up, I won't be looking in their direction for parts. Thanks again, Sorry it may cost you $125.00 though!

If you charged it on your credit card you can call them and put in a dispute. That's what I did with Ramp and got my money back.

When you call your bank about the visa.. you need to tell them that the dispute is over 'non reciept of goods'

I saw them recently and wondered about using them. Not going to happen now. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip. It's amazing how these guys treat their customers and play with their money.

They have a long history in the legacy Triumph community. Charging for parts that may never show is not uncommon. They've been through a couple of Ebay name changes. 24 BBB complaints in the last 36 months. Trying to get the correct part for incorrect parts shipped was another major complaint. The tank on my recently departed '77 was painted through these clowns. The runs on the finished job were an embarrassment. I would only deal with them cash-in-one-hand at their location on Belmont Ave while they pass me the inspected part with the other hand. I've dealt with multiple legacy parts places mail-order and always found the best to be AMR.

Good luck my friend,

Tom

I was warned several years ago by numerous Triumph guys. I did pick up a few pieces that were not available elsewhere, but picked them up in person. I paid cash and got no receipt. When I asked for one, the guy laughed at me. He asked for a deposit for a used cylinder head that he thought he could get for me: my turn to laugh.
I have seen him at a few local swap meets. I bet the IRS could cut this guy in half.
The weasels are everywhere.

With a recod like that it is amazing that they are still in business or at the very least haven't been sued.

Peter,
This guy's (Marshall) shop is just down the street from me. I have boughts some parts from him in the past,(only reccommended mode of transaction with him is cash and IN PERSON) I didn't wanna but unfortunately he always seems to have the things you need or can't find. As has been pointed out he is indeed a scumbag in every sense of the word. I would warn any and all about doing business with him. I was told a few years back that he even did a little time in da pokey for credit card fraud, have no idea if that's true or not but I would certainly believe it. Anyway..... If you still want your parts and want to email me all the paperwork I would be more than happy to stop by and pay Marshall a visit. Can't guarantee I'll get anywhere but living in the big gritty city tends to make me rather irritable (hehehe)

I was gonna' say, you want I should stop by and say hey for ya'. You know, talk realllll nice like to the fella. Make sure he comes round to ur line of thinkin' if'n you know what I mean.

Really, though, if there is anything I can do to help ya' out, let me know. I know Steve lives pretty close to this guy. They say there's power in numbers though. Anyhow, sorry you had to deal with one of our usually fine city's local scumbags. Hope things get resolved in your favor.
