Found a new set of Bubs slash cuts for $336, it was meant to be! Got em on and am happy w/ them. Have to say I'm really impressed w/ fast eddy, Brent's place for parts and even got some help from guitarted! Gotta question for ya'll, what rpm is considered red line on 795 cc 04 BA? Tnx!!

BUBs are some of the best for these bikes. That's a good price too.
I believe that the rev limiter kicks in at 7,000rpm on the '04 BA.
The Speedmaster (same engine) is set at 7,500.

You don't have to worry about over-revving, as the engine speed is electronically limited.

Rev limiter kicked in on my bike (790 America) at about 7450 when racing a HD the other day. I thought I out-grew that kind of thing, but I guess there's still a touch of testosterone left.

rev limiter is set for 7400 on BA, 7900 (supposedly) for SM.

I don't think so when I was racing a friend of mine I don't think I got 7900 out of it before the rev limiter kicked in. I could be wrong though but I really don't think so.
I saw the supposedly in parenthses I was just comfirming that.

I'm pretty sure the HD was of the 80cu variety. If it's not a Sportster, Electraglide, or V-Rod I couldn't identify the model. I do like Harley's by the way, so nothing against this guys ride.

I wouldn't normally race anyone, but he actually smirked at me and didn't acknowledge my nod when I pulled up next to him. First 1/2 mile or so was all mine, but he was gaining quickly before having to shut things down due approaching traffic. I felt like an idiot for letting something so trivial get to me, but ..... well I guess I didn't.

Regards,

Tom

Way to "Trump" the hog Tom!

Went on a Poker Run today w/ about 100 bikes, of course I had the only Triumph and wouldn't you guess my Speedy w/ Bub's of course got the most attention of any bike out there. No surprise there but I had to share.

So how are you liking those Bub's Shucks? I absolutely love mine. Not too loud at idle and perrrrfect rumble as you approach the speed of freedom!

Black '06 Speedmaster, BUB of course.

I really like them! Got the bike back from mechanic buddy yesterday, he installed jets [135] shimmed needles [1] drilled air box [uni] capped AI. I'm sure there are faster setups out there, but this is fine for me. I can limp thru town at 35-40 mph in 4th and not raise any notice from Federales. I've had both a 1200 Sporty and a 2002 Superglide, no match. My only regret is I bought the pipes from a place that did one of the forum members wrong, and didn't find that thread til too late, but no more from there. Sorry!
