I am looking for a solo seat for my 2003 Speedmaster. It must be comfortable and preferably available in Australia. Any suggestions? Is the genuine Triumph one ok?

many will tell you the stock America seat is crap...I have had no issues...in 19 days I'm about to do an Iron Butt ride so I gues I'll have a definitive answer then

I actually placed a Speedmaster seat on my America. I find it more comfortable and it serves the same purpose as a solo seat. No one has a fanny that can possibly stay on the sloping passener portion of the Speedy seat!

Any landing you can walk away from is a good one.

I have no problem with the America seat I have on my Speedmaster. Seems comfy to me. I have ridden from the Poconos PA to Laconia NH non-stop and had no butt issues. Longest ride for me on the new bike so far Not including circles around the mountain ending up back home again.

I have to admit my stock America seat leaves my butt numb after about 40 minutes, but then I don't have much natural padding in that area, so could be me. I'd be interested in trying a different seat, and I'm thinking about maybe just a sheepskin pad. My two cents....

It's not hard to do a gel insert covered with memory foam. I posted the instructions and the material is available on Ebay.
