OK, so imported/custom avatars did NOT work out! So here is what I propose. I would like to install avatars of our tanks but a little better than the current ones. What I need are high resolution photos of just the tank and I'd like to have as many (or all) of the color combinations as possible. If you are interested, please PM me for my email address so you can send me the pic(s). I will take the photos and with my limited editing capabilities, work them down to size and shape, and then install them in the avatar bucket for all to use. I will use the best ones received and give you the kudos! Here's a quick job on my tank. Note that this is not a close-up (which I would prefer) and needs some more cleanup of the background: (If anyone is a graphics artist and would like to step up and edit the pics for us, I'd have no problem!!)

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

You mean the one with the handlebars in the way? Let me qualify it a little more. I am thinking of a side shot of the tanks.....

I bet you get hammered with people wanting to send pix. I know I would like to submit my tank. Wendys is just simple black with stock badge so not gonna send that one.

Well, we have some custom dashes so I'd have to prefer with. Also, this is not going to be a get-r-done by this evening kind of project. I'd prefer excellent photos to ones that are rushed. Take your time, warm up the cameras (that's for you NH boys! ), and take some excellent shots. Like I said, high resolution, not the ones in Photopost! Go ahead and stage it and give me some really good side shots. Shoot, rip the tank off and do it!!

You're an utter disappointment, Phil. Why are you busting our chops to get these pics in if you aren't going to get humping. (Just pullin' your chain, Phil. Don't get huffy If I were you I'd make everyone color a tank w/ crayons on a piece of 4'x4' poster board and hand carry it to you)

got ya. I was working on posting some other shots of the bikes. like the oil pressure gauge I made and the mirrors I mounted with the adapter I made , all the pewter rose parts I made for Wendys bike.Looking through I may wait for a better dryer day to take some more though everything looks kinda dull from the moisture. I wiped the tank off.

I've added some waving flag avatars for those of you not interested in tank ones. Check them out! If I have left any country out, please let me know, OK? Thanks to Mike (mikemm03) for the idea!! I've added instructions to the Help forum on How to add an avatar

That's pretty cool Phil. It lets people do a little personalization. Would be nice if we could do both, tank and flag, but that's probably not practical.

As much as I've put my blackandsilver tank back on (the only tank for a rspectable America... ) and the flags look great.... Where's the Union Flag??? Surely on a British bike forum that should have been the first one on... (Or is this where I've just nominated myself more work and have to go and find one...I can't.. I'm off to work in a bit... and have a hectic weekend ahead.)

I have no idea of the order that they are up there. The Union flag was the first one I uploaded. Use the >> to show them all (just looked, it's on the second 'page')
