hi everyone
i have just had my 06 speedmaster dyno'd with the following alterations, staintune pipes with baffle left in k&n air filter, ai removed, main jets upped to 125.
max power now 56.72bhp at 6500rpm, 52.49ft/lbs torque at 6300rpm, the question i ask is has anyone dyno'd a completely stock bike, triumphs figures are taken at the crank but what do they equate to at the back wheel, anyone any ideas ?

My dyno experiance so far with my 790 America;

1 TOR pipes, Unifilter, AI removed, 135 Main = 46 Hp running fat
2 TOR pipes, Unifilter, AI removed, snorkel removed, 135 Main = 52, still not good on mixture.
3 TOR pipes, Unifilter, AI removed, all snorkels removed + enlarge opening to filter diameter, 135 Mains = 55,5 hp
4 Thunderbikes pipes, Unifilter, AI removed alla snorkels removed + enlarge opening to filter diameter, 145 Mains = 65 hp and 65 Nm torque and a little bit lean on WOT. Changed mains to 155 which works well.
5 I have now changed to CRII carbs, feels much stronger & quicker but not yet tested. Hoping to break into the seventies.....

gutted stock pipes with reducer left in , AI removed , freak with K&N filters , 155 main , 48 pilot = 65hp 65 torque ,soon to install TBS needles also gonna try blocking the crossover.
04 Speedmaster 800cc

My mixture is nearly perfect with any luck the TBS needles will fix the flat spot or dip in mid range.

my 06 speedmaster pulled 58.25hp @ 6500rpm & 51.65 ft. lbs @ 6300rpm. I have thunderbike pipes, removed snorkels & air injection. Stock air filter Stock jets. tech says it is running lean. With right jets and more air i should get another 5 to 7 hp. Did not dyno before changing pipes.

beats me I didn't do it the guy who runs the place did. Might have something to do with setting the machine for 360 deg. firing. It has no 270 setting.

That would be measured in Nm Frank, not foot pounds.
That would convert to 47.941537876 foot pounds.

That explains it. I reread what I wrote and didn't specify that.Sorry

Never even entered my head to specify actually and I am sure that is not quite where I am now either I have tweeked and changed a few things.

finally found an old magazine review where someone actually dyno'd a stock america albeit with 790 engine and not 865 but stock figures were 44.3bhp @ 6500 and 40.9ft/lbs @ 3500 which in perspective makes our gains quite impressive

especially since the mods needed to make the gains are minimal.
