I had a carpal tunnel op when I was in the army. it was due to writing and typing morse code at really high speeds believe it or not in the 70's for hours on end. I was told that with the overuse, all the lubricant dries up therefore I would wake up and couldn't move my fingers etc.All they did was open up the wrist and make a small cut in the shroud that contains all the ligaments. Fixed it like that and haven't had a problem since.

Actually Ian, my money's on the "low field" here.(only about a week)

That is unless one of the other guys who's bet the "high field"(that's the week and a half that you mentioned) slips ya a couple of Ambien tablets, so you can get some sleep around here!

And Mark....I don't know what to say here.

You DO realize don't cha, that with each and every new rung of this latter you basically are telling the world...."HEY! I HAVE NO LIFE HERE! AND, I'M MOST PROUD OF THIS FACT, TOO!!!"

(well, at least that's how I sometimes feel about this "honorary title" bestowed upon me around here)

Seems i cant function in the morning till i've checked in here. Sad isn't it?

I thought maybe you'd have actual Carpal Tunnel Syndrome after all the hand wringing from Arsenal's string of poor results the last month or so.

It was painful for me to watch Bayern Munich's loss in the Champions League yesterday. Oh well, at least it didn't turn into a Roma-esque route.

Oh my. Done get me started on Arsenal. Oh woe is me. What a horrible season. We may not even quailfy for the Champions League next year. If we dont beat Bolton this saturday i think we are in big trouble.

These last few weeks have been heII. I have no nails left, chewed them to the bone. Last saturdays game was unbelievable. 30 chances on goal, West Ham had two chances on goal and we lost 0-1. Go figure.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear. At least the F1 season has started and oh what suprises that has thrown up.

Come On Lewis Hamilton.

HA! Wait'll Dwight retires from being a productive citizen and sits in front of that thing all day long .
Especially during those Prescott winters.

Took me two years to get to pooh-bah.
And that was with a two month lay-up a year ago .
Usually only on here about an hour two in the evening.

Best rookie in over 40 years...

And it's the first season since Damon left that I've watched the first 2 races live (OK it helped I was in Oz for the first one). Jenson is a local boy for me, but I feel overhyped. Lewis... well... he's gonna do well. To have held back TWO Ferraris in only his second race it a serious feat.

Oh and I guess congrats on getting to Capral Tunnel!

I feel quite sorry for Jenson. He seems to have always been in the wrong car at the wrong time. I dont think anyone questions his ability, but he sure has been unlucky with his choice in teams. Who would have thought the Honda would have been so bad this year.

Lewis, early days but he sure does look like the real deal. His defensive drive against the two Ferarris last week was just brilliant.

So how was OZ. I dont remember seeing a report on here about your trip. Or is it one of those, "What happens in Oz, Stays in Oz" deals

I've been boring people with my trip to Oz stories here at home since I got back... And I did nothing over there that I wouldn't tell people.
But if you are really bored and have an hour or so to kill.. there's a short report on my ride Syndey - Brisbane in the Rally and Rides bit...

And can't wait to go back. My sister is aleady making plans, but I'm saying it's after I've done another short ride to Brissy...
