That's the problem with the internet, it's just text. it "sounds" different to everyone. A good lesson to be learned about choosing words wisely!!

AND I feel triumphdetroit's pain about getting criticized. I mean I haven't been in that position, but it's just so easy for people to talk **** from the security of their keyboard.

I would have said the same thing in person. Difference my voice would have come from me not what you think as you read.

Exactly why sometimes you need to choose your words more carefully when trying to make a point online.

The bike does look terrific. You may as well get it all done at one time and post your complete parts list along with vendors and part numbers

Can I make two suggestions hopefully without sounding critical.
Take a blade and scrape off the TRI cheesy reflectors.
Move the front turn signals from the bars, it will really clean up the front end.
Sweet bike on a tight budget!

the reflectors def need to go, and i ordered the rivco turn signal relocators yesterday... i think i'm gonna run the wires through the bars too, but i need to decide if i want to keep these bars first, i don't really like them.

Did you ever find out for shure what these are and where to get them? I put the fishtails on and it is obnoxious as straight pipes. I need to get something shipped here ASAP.

I have posted several times they are Emgo shories. Available all over the place. However if you are looking for quieter they aren't going to do much. They are a straight through glass pack.

Thanks Dogg- I see you made poo-bah- oops thats a typo! :-0

I'm joking of course. I think they are too, but wanted it from the horses mouth, since he has his hands on them. I have the tails on mine now. They are too loud and that "CRACK" on the exhaust is deafening. I need something to extend the pipes about 12" and take the edge off, and tone them down a bit. Got any suggestions?

Not that I can think of. I'll roll it around in my head and if something comes to mind I'll let you know. Those won't tone it down much though. I have used those for years on my bikes to make it look like I had mufflers to keep the man happy. They don't muffle much.

Maybe you could take a pair of those , since they are very inexpensive , and put a set of the cheap baffles in them like some of these.

If you're referring to the ape hangers on the Kid Rock bike, no, the stock cables will not work. There are few options that do work with the stock cables.
