Hey, that's pretty cool. Fit right onto the sissy bar support. My saddlebags have been large enough to carry my extra stuff and I can lock the helmet to the strap, but that's a slick idea for folks not running bags. I also carry a 4' bicycle cable lock in my tool bag for securing extra items. ($7 @ Wally-World)

By tubular, do you mean the type of key? From what I've read they are the hardest kidn of lock to pick but I dunno...

Adey, Not all the tubular locks are the same. The video you mentioned showed a U-lock made by Kryptonite that was picked using a pen barrel. I have this same lock for my mountain bike and after watching the video I gave it a shot, took me a couple of minutes but lo and behold I popped it open. I was then able to do it repeatedly just as easily as if I was using the key. Now, different lock... I have a disc lock for my scooter made by the same company. The key for it is slightly different than the one for the U-lock and I have tried and tried with the pen barrel and no way can I open it. You know though, it all moot point when you get down to it... if somebody wants it, it's gone!

I agree Glazer, if someone really wants it, they can get a couple guys and lift the entire bike into the back of a van... Anything like this is pretty much considered a "deturant" if anything.

Hiya Glazer It doesn't seem to matter whether bikes are bolted down or not - there's always some thieving herbert who will have your bike away. Bikes taken in broad daylight of people's drives is not uncommon. It's amazing the gaul these people have. Had a t-shirt link sent to me once and one of the shirts read "Happiness is a dead bike thief.." sums it up really!!
