Went to Marsh(the local grocery chain) and noticed a bin of used books and saw an illustrated book on the history of Indian Motorcycles and purchased it. Great photos and a great read that I could not put down. The Desire got into my head to get a good Triumph book and the Lindsay Brooke book looks the most interesting. Went by link on this sight to Amazon and the book is not avalible yet. Has any one heard news on this book or have any other sugestions?

Walked in my buddy's house last week, (he rides an America), and he had a Mac McDiarmid book on the coffee table called: TRIUMPH - The Legend

Copyrighted 1997, before the America and Speedamster (and new Bonneville) came along, but a very cool history of the brand from it's earliest days to it's obviously successfull re-launch in the States again in the early 1990's. Hardback, with some really cool pictures, I can not wait to read it.

Looks like your Lindsay Brooke book is out of print, but available used from the sellers listed. Click that link again. It is amazing how much these old books can appreciate after going out of print.

I have that same book. Some very good pix in it as well. I'll have to look I also have several others that are interesting. Not sure how many would still be available though.

Well this one is copyrighted 2002. Don't know why it took till 2007 for it to be available unless there has been some revisions. If any one is curious you can look under Lindsay Brooke or Triumph at amazon. Oh and it's not used and I am buying it new and from amazon and not from one of their vendors. I should get it some time at the end of this week.

I like Roy Bacon, he has wrote books on all the british bikes, covering Triumph, Norton and BSA.
