Okay, I have looked high and low, for a decent helmet lock. I want something that I can place on my crash bar, keep it off the handle bar.
What are you guys using.

Why? In 40 years of rideing and always leaveing helmets just hanging on bike I've never had one taken.I figure the type of creep that would steal one would'nt weare it or have friends that would buy it .

some guys here spend plenty on their helmets, i don't, but dangling 400 dollars out there where i work wd. be rather silly. i notice a lot of mc helmets at the pawn shop when i'm looking at guitars... i have a flat helmet lock on the back of my license plate bracket. works great. i have a black bracket so it blends right in. i just drilled 1 hole for the second screw; the other goes through the plate hole... got it from jcw helmet lockcat

That is proabably one of the most versitle designs I have come across.
I do not have a helmet lock on my bike. I usually carry it with me. When I am not, I am usually in places (like a restauraunt) that I can keep an eye on the bike. With most places having helmet laws nowadays, it would take some sick puppy to steal someones helmet.

I have this one . to start with it was a little fiddly but now i can get my helmet locked quickly with no problems. The reason I went for this one was because I could change the position to one side of the bike to the other just like that because I ordered an extra washer to do it. I also ordered an extra long cable so that when on trips, I could lock the bike to something secure as well as my helmet and even my jacket if I wanted. Just more versatile is all.

I used the "Pro Helmet Lock" that eddy talked about on my Daytona and it worked great. i've found that on my the SM there's no logical place to put it except the handle bars. and i definately don't want that thing staring up at me on the highway. that could just be me, though.
if you have the rear peg holders off, it may fit well on the frame there. otherwise, i'm not sure.

I agree with Jack on this one - of course, once they smell my helmet, they'll drop it (just kidding). I've been riding for 40 years, always worn a helmet, and have never had one stolen. Most of my bikes through the seventies had a hook under the flip up seat to latch your helmet to. But since those days, I've never had a helmet ripped off. Now days, I buy $100 lids so I should welcome some theft protection.

I use one of these... trigger lock...cheap enough...goes thru the "D" ring...can be looped around any thing on the bike...can also lock you jacket if needed...

Here is a cheap, easy and fairly secure, way to go. I found that a D ring to my helmet would fit over the knob on the end of the brake handle. A small luggage lock can be put at the end of the handle and the helmet is secured. I just keep the lock in the tool bag I have on the fork.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Great!
Like the gun lock and have a few of those around. Ready to use without leaving a firearm unlocked. Also the luggage lock around the brake lever sound great.
Had them right in front of me all this time.

Any sporting goods store that sells fire arms should carry these "cable type" trigger locks...clob is just a brand...master makes them as do several others... or google "trigger locks"

Thanks, I want to get one. It would be very easy to lock two helmets to the sissy bar and keep the lock in my saddle bags.

Larry, Thats the same thing I use. I put the helmet on the mirror to keep out rain etc and the D ring on the lever with lock on last, works great.
I've become comfortably numb
