I read on here a while back about indexing the exhaust cam to decrease the overlap with the intake. I searched and couldn't find anything about it. Can someone please give me this info and is it a good mod to do? Does it make a big difference? I figured while I am in there adjusting the valves I would do it all.
Thanks, Big TC

I can't oint you to it but I understand it only works with the 790 cc engines because the 865 already has the overlap out of there. Look around further back in this thread,[performance mods], acouple of pages maybe in febuary.

If your running a 270* motor I wouldnt bother with this mod, the 360* 790cc engine has a overlap of 39* which is why it benefit's from advancing the exhaust cam 1 tooth.

This mod while making the motor pull harder on the bottom, will take a little away from the top.

It definitely does not work on the 270 degree America 790cc engine.

I just did this to my bike, and it seems to pull better and the exhaust sounds more grunty.. Am I messing this up by doing this?
