http://www.flickr.com/photos/26209279@N00/Got it('06 America) running Thursday night, with only a few stupid mistakes. I couldn't even wait to get it out of the kitchen before starting it up. Put about 150 miles on it so far, haven't really got on it yet and I already love the power. Looking forward to putting it on the dyno. Mods now include K&N filters, 155 mains/TBS needles 1 shim/ 3 1/2 turns out on Brent's mixture screws, ported head w 1mm oversized valves, BB kit, and BUB slip-ons. I'm going to pop the valve cover next week to re-check valve lash; and I'll probably try advancing the exhaust cam then. Very much thanks to everyone here who helped with advice and motivation and such. If you find me at the Smoke-out first beer's on me.

Yes, and yes. Power improvement is very noticable, feels, sounds, and runs much stronger.
The 988cc kit is a bore and stroke kit, much more work and $$. From what I read here there are also 1100-1200cc kits soon to be.

I have similar mods, 904cc wiseco, +2mm intake valves, +1mm exhaust valves, ported + polished, but all on a Bonnie.

Good deal. Several people here have done that mod, and all seem to love it.For me it'll wait until it goes with another repair or a rebuild is needed. Nice Cornbinder too Or Korn Binder too

Also stock carbs, just tuned: 160/42 stock needles 1 shim.
Just ran 2200 miles last week and ran strong the whole way.
Gotta love an old cornbinder, 60 years old and still running well.

You'll be grinning ear to ear when you get those 500 "break-in" miles over with and can roll that power on for the first time.... I got 73hp on the dyno with just the 904 kit (stock heads) and Pipes with a set of K&N's. Ride safe!
