If there are minor scatches in the clear coat I use Meguiar's Clear Coat Body Scrub paint cleaner. I follow this with Meguiar's Mirror Glaze. If there are no scratches I would just use the Mirror Glaze. For the Chrome I use Brasso, but there are probably better products for it.

Might want to try the aerosol Fast Wax that is used for NASCAR. Cleans and shines really well and is effortless to put on and take off. It removes grease, tar, bugs etc. at the same time it waxes. Sounds too good to be true, but it works. Check it out at www.fastwax.com . I believe the owner now operates internationally and calls it Fukken Wax.

Hey Big Bill, will the windex actually remove wax from the paint? Just curious since people might want to do the chrome first in that case...

I like Eagle1 polishes, simichrome for bare metal and any carnuba wax on colors other than white.
I gotta go to bed. I've got to ride to Georgia in the morning.

Dunno, hmmm, I'll have to test that. Next wash I'll clean part of the tank with windex and see if the water still beads.

I just finsiehd putting Zaino on the America,it looks 10 times better then new. This is the same stuff the top winners in the car shows use.Matter of fact last years riddler winner uses it.Its not cheap tho.I think it was just under 400 for the polish swirl remover, the wax and the spray you must use between coats.

Gary, www.zainobros.com ,I think ditch pushed one to many zero's, unless he's running a detailing shop that is, I use it and it works great. It's one of those products where a little goes a long way. easy on and easy off, also doesn't leave any of that white residue in the cracks and crevasses.

Wax for the paint. Polish for the chrome. Wax will turn your
chrome pipes yellow.

if life gives you lemons keep them because hey, free lemons.

Thanks for the help...Zainobros site has alot of information about their products. The price is from 9.95 to 19.95 and many types of wax. This is for show cars or just showing off your bike....I will order some thanks again. Gary

Hey Bear,
Use SimiChrome for your chrome bits. I've used it for over 30 years and nothing compares. It can be used on ANY metal. Works like a dream on quality crome. I just used it to remove the bluing, browning from my headers. I'll post a picture.
I've heard of some using brasso for chrome - DON'T!!!
Brasso is for removing tarnish from soft metals - only.
It will scratch your chrome and eventually have a spiderweb affect. Stick with simichrome and a good polish for paint.
I've tried several, but Eagle One glaze and sealer provided the best shine, so far. Then I use Honda's spray cleaner and polish for in between touch ups. Never, ever use S100 on your bike. This stuff is designed for bikes like HD that look like garbage anyway in 3 years. Mine is 3.5 years old with 37,000 miles on it and people still think it's brand new, and I've been asked "how many q-tips do you use during cleanup?". Trust me here - I am good - look at the pictures.
Keep The Shiny Side Up,
Dennis
