Brent at Newspeedmaster sells the PDQ belt drive. It's the only one available for our bikes at this time. I understand it's about a 6 month wait to get one right now. There have been some other posts suggesting that we hire a machine shop to pump out the cogs for us but we'd have to get a bunch of guys to buy into the project and find a production machine shop willing to produce them.

I spent some time perusing retro fitting a Harley belt option, as I expect others have as well, and quit shortly after discovering the pricing wasn't too much different than the QPD option, when allowing for a machinist or toolmaker to drill or turn the Harley pulleys to fit. I'd love a belt drive to take away my gravel driveway chunks stuck to the chain lube blues, but for now I'll be content with the shackles of a chain.
(That may well be the worst 1/2 pun of the year.)

The QPD site doesn't mention a ratio??? What gives?

The QPD final drive ratio for our bikes is 2.45:1 which is very close to 17/42 sprockets (2:47:1).

Just to give you an idea of the different chain sprocket ratios.
42/16 = 2.62:1 42/17 = 2.47:1 42/18 = 2.33:1 42/19 = 2.21:1

I don't like belt transmission. That ****** doesn't advise you like a chain when is going to break.
And I like to do maintenance to my bike sometimes. It relaxes me, just 2-3 hours a month all for me to make care of my bike.
I use lamp white petrol to clean, and after a good Silkolene white spry.
