Here is another slap to tradition. Nanjing Automobile, which bought MG Rover two years ago, yesterday launched production of MG sports cars. Nanjing Auto plans to reintroduce the MG models in China and Europe and is planning production at an assembly line in Ardmore, Okla.

I see a whole new debate coming......

Would you by a Chinese MG if it was made in Oklahoma by
by Italian workers?

The percentage you're paying is too high-priced While you're living beyond all your means And the man in the suit has just bought a new car From the profit he's made on your dreams

I owned a '70 MG Midget and a '74 MGB-GT and really loved those cars. The Miata is about the only thing currently close to the small British roadsters. If a Chinese MG made in Oklahoma (by Italian workers) brought back the look, feel, handling, and class of the older MGs, I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

If I were looking for a bike today - I'd probably be buying a "Siamese twin" as I still haven't seen anything I like better than the Triumphs.

Born and raised in Ardmore. Even drove an MG in Ardmore. Also had my first Triumph and Norton in Ardmore. They have taken over an old Air Force Base and it is bringing many needed jobs to the area. I hear the University of Oklahoma football team may even make it the new "Sooner Schooner".Yep I would drive it.

Ahh, they will retail around £2000.00 cheaper in the UK than they did when they were built here. This is because the workforce only earn around £2000.00 each a year..
