what can i say...he got my songsmith head in a frenzy; and not that i'm too hung up on GA 07...so here goes...
Songs with Georgia in the title, referrences to, or names of locales in the lyrics.

if i start i'm afraid i won't leave any for the rest of you . but i'll start anyway. that said, one a piece. cuz some of us could and would go on and on.
*oh yeah. if you put down a lyric you hafta give us the song title and artist.

"...Georgia ain't no paradise, a place that i call home..."

Ray Charles - Georgia

Georgia, Georgia, the whole day through
Just an old sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind

Did anybody play blues slower than Ray?

Pes,Duuuuhhhh, yes I was kidding. hence the reference to Michael Bolton doing a cover of Otis Redding's "Sitting on the dock of the bay" ( the album "The Hunger") and his cover of "Georgia on my mind" from the album "Soul Provider".... to answer your next question.... yes, I do have basically Michael Bolton's entire C.D. collection ... I don't know why but I like his voice and its kind of my hidden guity listening pleasure.... everybody has at least one ... ride safe...Gordon

The most cold blooded line in any song

“I'm goin' to the country, baby do you wanna go?
But if you can't make it baby, your sister Lucille said she wanna go.
(and I sure will take her).”

From Statesboro Blues by the Allman Brothers about Statesboro, Ga. home of the Georgia Southern Eagles the most dominant division 1 football program of the last 25 years.

Hey! How's about..."Sweet Georgia Brown"?

(yeah...well...okay...but I'll bet Marques Haynes, Meadowlark Lemon and Curley Johnson would at least have thought it applies here)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
