When I purchased my used BA it came with the roadster screen..like the rest of the bike neglected, cloudy, scratched, etc. Yesterday I put it on to try at H'way speeds. Ugh, I ain't going to GA without some kinda screen. Man, that thing knocks down a lot of wind. I have looked at the clearview replacement, the Givi 605 and the Slipstream SS-10 Viper. Those of you we have any of those screens, please give me your opinions. I know screens are like shoes and one size does not fit all. I am just trying to keep from buying all three to get one that works. I am 6' tall and the roadster feels like it lines up just under the tip of my nose from a seated position. Thanks in advance for any info. I did use the search function this time, thats where all the choices came from.

Joe, I have tthe SS-10 and like it, but am still tinkering with it too. I'm 6'2" and found that I had to mount it in a fairly vertical position otherwise the wind was beating my brains out, but only over 60 mph. Under 60 it blocks a TON of wind. It seems OK now and I'll give it more of a test as the weather improves. At $100 or so you really can't beat it for the price. Good luck!

Joe, Before you run out and buy a new screen, there are some pretty good polishing compounds out there. I've been told that Yamaha's stuff is pretty good at getting out cloudyness and minor scratching - Just a thought - Might save you some money for gas...

I've had the Viper for a couple-three years now and I finally did what I wanted with it after returning for Daytona. It's in the trash. I fought position and angle long enough. I agree it's fine up to 60mph but at real highway speeds, the buffeting makes it worthless. I've even removed the mounts from my bars. You can get the SS10 Viper at MAWs for under $70 plus shipping. Ryan has a Givi A600 that has a curl at the upper lip. He and others swear by this screen. I found a place ( HelmetHead Cycle Gear) that sells this one for $102.24 shipped. I've looked and cannot find it cheaper. I am going to get one for my wife and if she does not like, I will put it on my bike.

Thanks to everyone for the replies. I may have to run down some of the Yammy polish. Phil, I am looking really hard at the Givi. I think if I don't go that route, the clearview replacement may be my best bet....I already have the hardware. Of course, a "test polish" may be in order but man...this thing is in BAS shape.

Another compound you may want to try is 3M Perfect-it III. It is a finishing glaze, you only need a little bit but it does a great job.

If you like your current screen, definitely try the polish route. Heckuva lot cheaper than new one!!

I have the clearview replacement (17") for the summer screen and I feel it is the best quality screen out there. The company even offered me a 30 day return if I did not like it (you had to leave the clear protective film on the shield) the workmanship is fantastic! as is the screen.

If you can't polish the screen out, I definitely would go for the Clearview replacement because, as you said, you already have the hardware. The Clearview, IMO, is way better than factory Triumph. Talk with them about making sure you get the right height. Changing does give you the ability to get EXACTLY the right one for you.
It's hard to guess where the top of the screen hits your face w/o help. With you sitting on the bike on level ground, take a yardstick and lay it across the top of the screen. Get someone to stand back and sight it (or use a level) to level. Then you can tell for sure where the top hits your face. If it hits from the tip of your nose to the top of your mouth, it's the right height.

Get some Novus 2 plastic polish at any bike shop, cheap and works great for removing scratches and cloudiness.
