My new Tiger has finely arrived from the wonderful town of Hinckley...and it's supposed to f-ing snow tomorrow! And let's not talk about the inch of sand that will coat the roads afterwards.
Who's the son of a b!tch that ordered snow?!!!
For the curious, my Speedmaster (the super fast blue type) will keep it's spot in the garage and in my heart.

Tell me about it, my driveway JUST got clear of the ice/snow solid concrete layer that has been there since the last storm 3 weeks ago, and I was slowly starting to have crazy visions of rescuing blue from her storage spot in eastern CT, and enjoying being able to actually park within 500 feet of my door again, when BAMMMMM!!! F#$k Paux Phil!!!

We're expecting a "wintery mix" here in MD as well.
I have to drive to North Stonington, Conn. on Tuesday. Any of you CT guys familiar with that area?

North Stonington I believe is along the coast...not too far from the RI border.
Careful driving on I-95 in CT...especially through Bridgeport and New haven.

Yep my back yard glacier is finnaaly gone... just in time for 4-6 inches of slop, On the bright side it should melt quick. Then its mud bowl time.

N stonington is right at the Ct RI border. Near the casinos, too.Brad, you bought an adventurer bike so take it out and ride in the snow! You are one lucky dude! My wife would divorce me if I bought another bike.

Haha! Just to rub it in a little, it's never going to snow here again. Last snow was 3 days before I picked up the snow blade for my tractor. It was gone the next day and has never been back. If you want better weather, find a neighbor with luck like mine and talk him into buying a new snowblower.

Hey, it worked for me for 6 years! After a miserable winter in 2000-2001 I bought a new Blazer and a 8.5 HP snow blower. Hardly ever used the snowblower or put the Blazer in 4WD until this year I took credit for 6 years of fairly mild winters

Enjoy the snow while you can. With global warming, it won't ever snow ever again. Just ask Al, he'll tell ya. He invented the internet, so you know he knows... LOL.

The only thing we will be riding here in CT. this weekend are snowmoblies and snow blowers.
This s***s the big one. At least I have my milk and bread supply left over from the last storm.

Hey, Pete.
I think the brake recall is only for the early batches of Tigers (upto VIN 301999). I did a VIN check at the Triumph site and mine came up clean.
From reading about it, it's not really a failure recall, but a "make the customer happy" service reccomendation, based on criticism in a very positive review by Motorrad. I guess a bunch of early owners thought the brakes felt soft (similar to what Sprint owners went through)...but they still had plenty of bite. (tiger1050.com has a good read about it from owners perspective)
I'll still keep it in mind. (my beast is an ABS model, for what it's worth)
I'm sure Triumph will eventually figure out the software glitch too. Thanks for the info.

Barely even a half inch here and the zoo is already in full force. I was just listening to the traffic report, and somehow all the idiots managed to spin out right in the direction I need to go. Whiskey Tango Foxtrott?!??

Well I am back in the saddle again. I don't have to drive that POS 06 Subaru. Everytime I have to write a payment check for it, I hate it more. I accepted the fact that it is uglier than a bent sh*t can, and you have to be rubberman to get into the thing, but that F**ken throttle. It's a computer throttle that has a dead spot at the beginning when you start to apply it. You can't be smooth with the clutch. If you are not past the dead spot, you kill the engine, if you are in traffic and apply a little throttle it lurches forward or stops. The car handles very well on compact snow and ice. The wheels are so small that if snow or water is deep you get pulled allover the place. On dry pavement it handles like a sports car. I have always had American cars, but got screwed on the last two, so I thought I would give the Japs a try, What a joke and for $20K. Boy do I feel had. Dave

Sounds like my dinner stop Tuesday evening. Any Marriott hotels around there? I usually stay in a Courtyard or Fairfield.

Simmer, on my Charger, whenever you put it into gear, D or R, there is a pause before the throttle will kick in. Makes 3 pt turns in parking lots REAL annoying, and I have to do them a LOT with that boat!!

ABS......... There just getting here you dog . You are correct about the SB on the brakes. The two tigers we have at the shop ar both getting the brake work in the morning. We got two of the first on the east coast. Neighter bike has any issues, but hell, it all pays the same for me. Your gonna love Triumph ABS. It has the best feel of any ABS system I have ridden with. Great feel at the lever, and pedal. Much nicer then BMW's new linked doo doo I have done about 100 miles on a tiger at this point, and absolutley love them. OH, if height is an issue, the bike can be easily lowered with the lowering link used on the Daytona 675 being they use the same dogbone link. The fork tubes can also be slid up through the clamps a bit to get a level lowering.

This sounds good. How much does it lower it by? Does it invalidate the Triumph warranty?
