I'm running into a bit of a problem. The grip on the throttle side is making the throttle stiff and requires me to manually shut it down, in other words it's not springing back to idle. Have had it on and off twice with the same result. The grips are for 1" bars. Any suggestions? Thanks

When I got my Iso grips they were for a harley, I had the same problem.
I filed the throttle tube down till it fit properly.
The tube was a larger diameter than the space in the control switch housing.
It is not the handlebars that are the problem.
mine was still snug when I finished but I like the cruise control.

On the early Iso's for the Triumphs they had an issue with the throttle tubes being the wrong size (slightly small) and being oblong instead of perfectly round. If you got them awhile ago, I was told by one of the guys at Mas cycle, they will be replaced for free if you contact Kuryakan. They are aware of this and will make it right.

A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice. Pat

1. Where the heck have you been hiding? Only seen a black/yellow speedie and a red standard Bonnie once whilst visting G'ville.
2. Are you going to Georgia next weekend?
3. Don't know about the Kury grips, but make sure that they are not rubbing on the bar end weight. There should be about 1mm gap at all times between the bar end weight, and the throttle. I had a problem once because the whole throttle assembly wasn't torqued down properly, and it had slid down the handlebar toward the end weight, just a tiny bit. When I the weight of my hand rest on the throttle while coming into a parking lot for instance, there is enough slop side-to-side, to allow the throttle sleeve to rub against the end weight, causing it to actually stick open, even after I removed my hand. I moved the whole throttle assembly inward about 1-2mm, so that there was the aforementioned 1mm gap, even when I pulled toward the right side on the throttle, and have never had a problem since. I felt pretty stupid at that point, because before finding that simple fix, I had completely disassembled the throttle, and lubed EVERYTHING to death!!! Lubrication was NOT the problem!! Catch ya around maybe...

Gave up on those grips. Decided I didn't like the feel of them, a bit too big. Will look for a lower profile grip. I tend to do most of my riding out on Hwy 11 and into NC via Hwy 178 or the Blue Ridge Pkwy, nice riding up north in the mountains. I hope to at least make it to the GA rally for a day...if work allows. That is pretty country up there, weather permitting will be great riding.Ride safe.
