starting to see more and more bikes on the road around here. Yesterday saw 2, today 5. The glacier in my back yard is receding nicly, tommorrow temps should hit 60. I should be albe to get the Triumph out of the shed by Saterday, just in time for the temps to drop back down to the 30's.

Great day here in Cincinnati...75F or something.
I actually got in 150+ miles this past weekend, after a few months off, and notice I was a bit lazy in my conering...so I decided to really focus on the counter-steering and paying attention.

I was lazy too! And I really think that taking those demo rides helped. I had to concentrate so hard when getting a feel for the different bikes that I noticed I was riding my own bike better on the way home.

I just went out for the first ride of the year, well kinda, I didn't put the bike up until Jan 4th. But she fired right up(love that eeeletric start, or I would still be kicking). I'm rustier than she was, but it was great ride. Saw 4 other bikes, and we just about knocked each other off the road waving like complete buffoons. Just dug the grill out of the snowbank and trying to light some charcoal for some steaks.

I was just out myself. 2nd ride of the year. She's running great after the valve adjustment. No more top end pinging. I was very cautious because of all the sand still on the corners. It felt great to be out so soon.

Hmmm. I saw maybe 50 sixty bikes between my house and the 17 mile ride into town last weekend. Spring sprung here awhile ago as it were.
Seriously though here in Tucson Spring springs out of the box in March in a really big way. I expect to need to turn on the AC anyday now.

Got home early today and took Brett for a ride (first ride of the year) and on the way home hooked up with my neighbor and went to Willows in Cheshire Frank is looking at a full blown Gold Wing $22,000 has every bell and whistle on this thing Nav system, CB, Cell, Intercom, heated seats and grips with a rev gear.
All told I did a little over 70 miles still alot of sand on the secondary roads so I was really carefull with Brett on the back.
Did find a couple of nice spots were I could open her up. I could really feel the difference with the freak and re-jetting over last year. She sounds like two four barrels wide open with the freak.
Back to winter this weekend they say.

Sounds like a fun ride Pops. What a great afternoon it was. 66 degrees in the north shade here. My bike is still in dry dock waiting for some handle bars and a cable kit to arrive. I don't care who says what about whatever, those big Hondas are a mighty sweet ride. I saw one in monochrome white at Libbys last Fall that was mighty sharp. (Yeah - so I'm an old fart ) I have no intention of ever retiring the Speedmaster, but when I win Powerball, and hit the trail, I may have to saddle up on a BMW or Honda 2 wheeled land yacht...
Say howdy to my buddy Brett.

66 F in the shade Wednesday, and a foot of snow forecast for Friday & Saturday, with temps Sunday night in the low 20s.
I'm calling Cabelas and ax 'em to send me one of everything.

When i first came to the US i worked in a Ford dealership as a car salesman. For a few weeks every spring, each morning every car on the lot would be covered in a yellow/green dust. We had to hose off every car every day. Bloody nightmare. Didnt do my sinuses much good either.

just did 80 miles. It seemed a lot warmer when I left the house. I forgot about motorcycle clothing math. Just cause your outside working in a tshirt doesn't mean its that warm on the bike. Anyway went up past Merdith, the lake was awesome still iced up. Stopped in at Merdith Harely on the way back, I was the only bike out of probably 150 people. Walked around for while trying to warm up. On the way out one of service guys asked how I liked the triumph. After 45 minutes or so I figure he's going to buy one. Good talking to ya Wayne. Great day for ride. And I finally put that new foot control bar on, so now my right peg is straight.
