Hi royal, Here's a great reference: http://www.gadgetjq.com/aimheadlight.htmBest place for a flat plane intersecting a wall? Try a loading dock... Are you going to hook up with any of the guys coming down or you flying solo?

From the factory mine was shooting up at the trees and to the right. I got the book out & it tells u how to adjust it. My 05 america on a dark night shows a large lighted rectangle on low beam. i left the up & down adjustment a little more loose than the left & right adjustment. Took it out to a dark parking lot & adjusted the bottom of the lighted rectangle about 20 feet out from the bike. (the slightly loose bolt left me able to rap the light up & down a little. can finish tightening later. i now have plenty of light on low beam. my greatest worry is hitting a dead deer or other dead animal. flicking up to high beam lights up the whole world for about 1/4 mile. Like the other guys said. A good starting point is against a wall for your left & right adjustment. Mostly just commmon sense & what works best for you.

Jerry, A visor on that headlight helps focus the beam a bit. You'll miss out on spotting sleeping birds, but the extra light on the road is a plus

Next thing you need to do is send a couple of bucks to Brent, at Newspeedie, for some xenon bulbs. I did and am I glad. No more dull, yellowish light. Service was exceptional too.
Any landing you can walk away from is a good one.
