There's Easy Brackets (you can get 'em at Brent's: http://www.newspeedmaster.com/html/easy_brackets.html) and I think Ghost Brackets might fit on a Speedie. I think easy Brackets is the more popular brand (I have a set). Not sure if there are other makers out there.

Right then... I'm not putting Brent down, but we have to pay far to much to import stuff. The Chancellor takes an extra 20% average.... I've just imported a $35 jacket and had to pay £30 to collect it.... So Spud....Try here. http://www.customcruisers.com/custom2005/customshop2005/enter.html?lang=en-uk&target=d129.html They're £385.95 including VAT and the 17 litre bags are 190 and larger bags are £205.95 both incl VAT Hope this helps...

So what do you think of your easy brackets? Are they easy to use, do the bags mount securely and have no problems with bowing in/rubbing against the fender or wheel? How about the mounting of hardware to the bag, easy? Do the bags retain shape well enough? Sorry for the volume of questions, but I am curious.
Also, the only thing that remains when off is the bolts that the supports attach to, are they pretty subtle?

The easy brackets are a good idea, they keep the bag away from the rear wheel and fit snuggly.
The only problem I had was the mounting plate did not hold the bags and they tended to move in the wind causing the plastic backing to split. An easy remedy is to fix a permanent plate to the bag to make it a more solid finish.
I am sure there is a few on here who have done the above, I am looking round for some hard bags to mount.

I can't tell you how the quick release rate but I like the idea of having the ability to remove your saddlebags easy. I have the triumph brackets with the zippered Willie & Max saddlebags. The ability to remove the saddlebags without much hassle makes the usual maintenence nice. When cleaning and oiling the chain, brake work, rim cleaning etc. its nice to have thme out of the way. I have Saddlemen Jumbo bags on EZ-Brackets. I made plexiglass backing plates. The left one fits loose, the right one takes a block of wood and a hammer to get off. I've still gotta mess around w/it

If you don't already have bags to go onto your quick release brackets, the K-drive bags & brackets work well and are dead easy to mount. Not the cheapest option, but you get what you pay for.

Thank's all for your replies, they have given me some food for thought. I already have a new pair of saddleman bags, so the option of buying bags with a quick release system fitted is not an option. I would have loved to taken your advice Gina but the pennies are a wee bit tight right now. I'll keep a look out for the Easy or Ghost brackets on Ebay or the likes. Any more feedback would be welcomed.

Update: This afternoon I took a Dremel to my right side EZ-Bracket. Using a small grinding stone, I got it so it goes on/off smoothly.

Might consider touching up the bare metal with some rustoleum. Some of my paint peeled and is rusting a little now.
